The Unite union has postponed the strike ballot of more than 2,000 bus workers at Metroline in north London, which was scheduled to take place on Friday of last week.
It is now set to take place on Friday of this week. The ballot is a consultative vote for action over the company’s introduction of a new substance abuse policy.
The union has concerns over how the policy will be implemented and what criteria managers might use to target people for screening.
The ballot involves all Unite members at the garages – including drivers, engineers and supervisors.
