Rising Tide of Conformity - Peyoti for President

by Katherine Branney
Issue No. 2150

This debut album by Peyoti for President is a high energy attack on capitalism and war.

The band was initially formed by Pietro Dillascio and Ulisses Bezarra in London. But it has now expanded to include up to eight artists with different ethnic origins—all of which are seen in the band’s music.

Rising Tide of Conformity mixes dance and punk to help the band to raise social consciousness.

Songs such as “We The People” and “Wake Up Rise Up” reject the commodification of everything and call for a “21st century uprising”.

Best of all, it’s done with the funkiest music possible.
