Who’s Watching You?

Issue No. 2152

The proliferation of CCTV cameras has made Britain one of the most observed countries in the world. In this new series, Richard Bilton explores the world of surveillance.

The first programme looks at the role of the state, with a special focus on Middlesbrough, a city that has gone further than many in its use of cameras.

Who’s Watching You? shows how surveillance technology is reaching into more areas of our lives. It asks challenging questions about how this impacts on civil rights.

9pm, BBC2, Monday 25 May
