Fire cuts put crews in danger

Cuts in frontline fire crews will put lives in danger, the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) has warned.

Posts being cut include those that control and record how many firefighters have gone into burning buildings and which part of the building they are going to.

The latest cuts will hit fire crews in Greater Manchester, North Yorkshire and Essex.

According to the FBU some 440 frontline firefighter post have been cut since 2002.
