Cinema and the Spanish Civil War - BFI

The BFI’s new season contains films that explore the Spanish Civil War of 1936-9.

The Republicans’ fight against fascism caught the imagination of millions of people around the world, including artists.

The films showcased include Butterfly’s Tongue, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Land and Freedom, The Good Fight and Las Bicicletas son Para el Verano (Bicycles are for the Summer).
