The vibrant campaign to save jobs at Tower Hamlets College, east London, continued last week with a demonstration on Thursday.
Councillors and post workers joined college workers and students on the protest.
Hundreds of people have taken part in protests and unofficial walkouts against planned job cuts. The cuts would halve the number of English classes for people whose first language is not English by 50 percent.
Up to 60 teachers and support staff could lose their jobs. The UCU, Unison and Tower Hamlets student unions have called a demonstration to defend jobs and education for Saturday 27 June. It will assemble at 1pm at Bethnal Green Gardens.
UCU members at the college are balloting for industrial action and the result is due on Thursday.
