Strike at Manchester college

Issue No. 2158

Lecturers at Manchester college were set to strike on Wednesday of this week against what it calls “unnecessary and punitive” job losses.

Some 74 percent voted for strike action and 84 percent for action short of a strike.

The planned redundancies would hit maths, biology and English for Speakers of Other Languages (Esol), which will hit the most vulnerable students hardest.
