Next week is key for tube dispute

Issue No. 2161

Talks are continuing on London Underground in the dispute over pay, job losses and bullying management.

Workers in the RMT transport union struck last month.

The union has given management until next week to make a reasonable offer. A mass meeting of reps is then set to discuss the offer.

Many activists are arguing that to win the union will need to strike again in co-ordinate with Unite union members on the tube who are currently balloting over pay.
