Protest in support of deported cleaner

Issue No. 2163

Family members, trade unionists and supporters protested outside the Willis building in central London on Friday of last week against the arrest and deportation of cleaners.

Several cleaners employed by the Mitie company were arrested and deported after a raid by immigration officers at the building on 14 July.

Daniel, one of the cleaners, who was interviewed about his situation in last week’s Socialist Worker, has now been deported to Ecuador.

Another protest is set to take place at the Willis building on Friday of this week.
