'I'm so proud of my dad'

Lanah is a 16 year old school student whose dad, Justin, is in the occupation

Issue No. 2163

‘I support what the workers are doing 100 percent. There are hardly any job vacancies on the whole island—what’s going to happen if over 600 people lose their jobs?

Vestas has treated them all like crap. My dad’s fighting for everyone, not just himself.

The attitudes of the government and our Tory council are so hypocritical.

All they do is talk about the planet but they let rich people come and buy their second homes or retire here and say they don’t want their view to be ruined by wind turbines.

They want the island to stay in the past, but this fight shows that people are prepared to fight for their futures.

The support and the publicity have made so much difference.

I miss my dad, but I’m so proud of him.’
