BT workers reject flexible working

Issue No. 2170

Workers at British Telecom’s Openreach company have decisively rejected a plan to introduce more flexible working into their contracts.

Members of the CWU union overturned the recommendation of their leadership to vote by 56 percent against the plan.

Their decision has caused chaos in the company, which has been forced to bring in outside contractors in order to cover existing work.
