Cleaners on the Eurostar trains at St Pancras International have pledged to reactivate their strike action if their employer does not make them a decent offer during talks this week.
The members of the RMT transport union called off their strikes on Friday of last week and Sunday after the Carlisle company offered talks on the issues angering the workers.
The mainly migrant workers struck for 48 hours last month over pay, the victimisation of union rep Mohammed Yellow, job cuts and the imposition of a finger-printing machine to clock in.
One Eurostar cleaner told Socialist Worker, “If they don’t impress us at the meeting we will go ahead with our planned strikes on 16, 18 and 30 October, and 1 November.”
