NUT to ballot over Sats tests

Issue No. 2173

The NUT teachers’ union is to hold an indicative ballot in November over whether to boycott the hated Sats tests.

This is a step down from the position taken at the NUT conference this year, when delegates voted unanimously to ballot for industrial action to boycott Sats.

NUT members need to mobilise to win the ballot to show the strength of feeling against Sats.

The Socialist Teachers Alliance has organised an Education for Liberation conference, which will take place on Saturday 14 November, 11am-4pm at Haverstock School, Chalk Farm, London. Go to » for more details
