Campaign to improve call centre staff conditions at DWP

Issue No. 2174

The PCS civil service workers’ union is to launch a campaign, which could involve industrial action, for better conditions for call centre staff in the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

The campaign follows a successful fight over similar issues by workers in call centres in the Revenue & Customs department.

Meanwhile, PCS activists are concerned that DWP management is set to announce major attacks on the working conditions of some staff this week.
