Firefighters in South Yorkshire are to step up their fight by walking out every day from this Saturday to Wednesday of next week.
The FBU union members are fighting the imposition of new shift changes.
Their employer has threatened to sack all 744 firefighters, rip up their contracts and re-employ them on new ones that would see shifts extended from nine hours to 12.
Firefighters say that this would leave them with no time to see their children, and make childcare harder to get.
The workers struck for two days last week. Bosses offered a deal of ten and a half hour shifts—but the workers overwhelmingly rejected it.
The strikes will take place from 4pm until midnight.
