Battle against minibus firm

by Unite member
Issue No. 2176

A dispute is developing between the Unite union and the owners of minibus firm Dot2dot at Heathrow airport.

Previously owned by National Express it accumulated massive debts, and was sold on to Corot plc for £1 in January this year and operated by Smooth Ltd.

There were problems with wage payments from the start, but by September the company was defaulting on wage payments for the whole workforce.

A series of ownership changes and redundancies have resulted in a situation where many workers who have lost their jobs have no idea who to claim their redundancy entitlement from.

Unite is launching a campaign to bring those responsible for this situation to book.
