A LIBERAL Democrat controlled council in West Yorkshire voted last week to award a contract to build four new special schools to Jarvis.

Jarvis has been running the contract to improve 20 schools across the borough for the last two years. But their record led the Liberal Democrat chair of education to attack Jarvis's record as appalling.

In the last two years over a term's worth of education has been lost. Unison and GMB union members in Kirklees are threatening strike action.
