Welsh Defence League chanted out of Wrexham

Swansea, Newport, and now Wrexham – each time the racist thugs of the Welsh Defence League (WDL) have threatened to march they have either been seen off or failed to appear.

Around 40 WDL supporters gathered at a pub in Wrexham town centre last Saturday.

Local anti-fascists had organised an anti-racist community festival nearby. As it wound up we made our way to where the WDL were gathered.

We followed them chanting as the police escorted them out of the centre. Had we not been there the police may have let them march or hold a meeting.

A wet day, but a good day for anti-fascists in Wales. 3-0 to us.
