Voting is continuing in the crucial election for general secretary of the PCS civil service workers’ union.
The two candidates are left wing incumbent Mark Serwotka and Rob Bryson, a member of the right wing 4themembers group.
Mark stands for a fighting, democratic union that is prepared to challenge attacks on jobs and the public sector.
Bryson is seeking “partnership” with the government, where the union will make “difficult choices to preserve jobs and conditions”.
Activists need to ensure the biggest possible vote for Mark Serwotka to galvanise the union for the future battles it faces.
