Premier strike suspended

Issue No. 2186

Two days of strike action planned by workers at Premier Foods in Wisbech were called off this week.

The action was suspended to allow for negotiations with management. The majority of workers at the factory were furious at the news. Some said they were “gutted”.

One union rep who had been unable to attend the meeting said, “I would not have let them make that decision if I had been there!”

Send all support to: Mark Plumb, Unite Convenor, 19 Kingsley Avenue, Wisbech, Cambs. PE13 2PD. Cheques should be made out to “10671 Wisbech Branch”
