Rich can go to front of the queue

Issue No. 2186

Millionaires are to be offered fast-track visas under new government plans.

The premium service, costing £15,000, will see the rich skip to the front of the immigration queue.

They will even get visits from officials at their home or office to help them with forms.

Meanwhile the fees for ordinary people are more than doubling.

The basic cost of a visa will rise from £585 to £644.

And there will be an extra 10 percent charge for every child a migrant has.

Each fee includes a £50 levy to the “migration impacts fund”—which will be used to “tackle illegal working practices”.
