Yarl’s Wood hunger strike

Women held in Yarl’s Wood asylum detention centre were subjected to a brutal lockdown on Monday.

They had been on hunger strike since Friday of last week over treatment and conditions.

When guards enforced the lockdown, over a dozen women were trapped outside in the cold, some without shoes and warm clothing.
