Neath march against council cuts

Issue No. 2191

Local government workers are marching to defend jobs and services in Neath, South Wales, this Saturday.

They are angry at plans to transfer the council housing stock to a private housing organisation.

They are also opposed to a scheme to shut seven elderly residential care homes and replace them with four private homes.

The council plans to sack 750 workers.

The march, organised by the Unison union will assemble at 10am, Millands Road car park.
