Blood and Oil

Issue No. 2192

The Niger Delta in Nigeria is a battleground.

Struggles rage over who controls the country’s wealth, which is based on oil.

One armed group attacks an oil installation and kidnaps several Western oil workers.

Its members are protesting about the pollution caused by foreign oil companies and demanding reparations.

This drama follows one British woman, Claire, as she travels to Nigeria to try and secure the release of her husband.

But she finds that things aren’t quite as they seemed—and embarks on a mission to uncover the truth.

This drama could be a stinging attack on corrupt business interests. Look out for it.
