Two new candidates have joined the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) to stand in the upcoming general election.
Darren Ireland, secretary for the RMT union’s North Wales and North West regional council, will be standing in Liverpool Walton.
The seat is held by Labour but the current MP Peter Kilfoyle is retiring.

Campaigners will leaflet and canvass for their local TUSC candidate.
Days of action will also take place on Sunday 18 April, Saturday 24 April and Tuesday 4 May. The election is set to take place on Thursday 6 May and campaigners will be on the doors of local polling stations.
