Sleeper-train managers are striking on Sunday. The RMT union is accusing First Scotrail, Transport Scotland and the Scottish government of failing to take part in meaningful talks over the safety-critical role of guards.
The importance of trained staff doing the job was shown during previous strikes when untrained managers stood in as guards.
Train doors were activated on the track not the platform side at Glasgow Queen Street station and doors were reportedly activated at Falkirk when the train was short of the platform. Both incidents could have been lethal and are being investigated.
