Dot Gibson, general secretary of the National Pensioners Convention, is the latest speaker to confirm attendance at the Right to Work post-election fightback conference on 22 May.
She joins Jeremy Corbyn MP, PCS general secretary Mark Serwotka, Pete Murray, vice president of the journalists’ NUJ union, and Tiana Andreou, an executive member of the Greek civil service union.
It’s supported nationally by the NUT teachers’ union and many trade union branches.
The conference will focus on activity. Workshops include:
Organising a campaign against cuts with input from activists in the Save Whittington hospital campaign and others; Organising part-time and agency workers, with Tiago Gillot, who helped organise a mass campaign in Portugal; Resisting education cuts with students and lecturers; Tackling racism in our communities and workplaces; How to win a strike
