Around 100 workers and students protested at Dundee University on Monday against job cuts.
Students from the Glasgow and Aberdeen anti-cuts campaigns joined the protest.
Workers from the PCS and Unison unions and Dundee Trades Council also took part.
“We need to make sure universities teach a broad range of subjects,” said Kimberley, who is studying renewable energy.
Bosses at the university want to cut up to 200 jobs in “under-performing” areas.
Hamish Drummond, chair of Dundee Trades Council, said, “I’m proud to stand alongside the UCU union as it bravely stands up to the government’s war on the public sector.”
