Strike at Glasgow Herald and Evening Times

Issue No. 2201

Over 140 print, production, clerical and advertising workers at the Glasgow Herald and Evening Times in Glasgow struck for 24 hours during the elections last Thursday.

They are fighting a pay freeze for the second year running.

Bosses at Newsquest, who own both newspapers, have recorded profits each year.

The workers, who are in the Unite union, will be striking every Thursday until the company reaches an agreement.
