Pensions change rejected at Capita

Issue No. 2202

Unite union members at Capita Life and Pensions divisions have voted to reject plans to change their pension scheme.

Workers were balloted across eight Capita divisions. Some sites voted to reject the proposals by as much as 98 percent.

The proposals put forward by Capita would see workers moved from the existing non-contributory final salary scheme to a career average scheme into which they have to pay 7 percent of their wages.
