Middlesex university suspended three workers and four students this week for fighting to defend education.
The staff are two professors in the Philosophy department—Peter Osborne and Peter Hallward— and senior lecturer Dr Christian Kerslake.
The philosophy students are Ali Alizadeh, Nicola Goodchild, Johann Høiby and Hoi-Yen Voong.
Ali is an Iranian student and part of the Green democracy movement. He is in Britain on a student visa. If this is taken away he faces deportation and persecution in Iran.
The workers and students are fighting to save their department. They occupied a building on the north London campus earlier this month.
Management got a court injunction against the occupation.
It named particular students on the injunction, who would be liable for personalised criminal actions against them, to try and split the movement.
The occupiers decided to leave the building and on Thursday last week held a sit-in in the library out of opening hours, to show that the movement was not going away.
It is vital that everyone in the movement against cuts both inside and outside of education rallies around these activists.
There was to be a rally at Hendon Campus this Thursday at 4pm. The disciplinaries will take place on the same campus at 10am the next day.
