The result of the ballot of RMT union members at the Tube Lines company on the London Underground was due as Socialist Worker went to press.
Workers remain in dispute with management over attacks on jobs and conditions, despite London mayor Boris Johnson bringing the firm back in-house. Tube Lines does maintenance work on the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Northern lines.
The decision to bring it back in-house, by buying out the shares in the private companies that run it, should mark the end of the disastrous Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.
But the Amey company, which was part of Tube Lines, is to manage maintenance.
RMT activists are also demanding that the union quickly ballots other staff across London Underground over hundreds of job cuts.
