Jobs threat at Accenture

IT services provider Accenture is threatening to cut up to 200 jobs.

Accenture provides IT services to Scottish Power.

The Unison and Prospect unions revealed that the company plans to cut costs by moving almost 200 jobs from across the North West and Scotland to India.

Unison is threatening to ballot for industrial action if compulsory redundancies are imposed.

Accenture’s revenue for the period March to May this year was £3.6 billion, up 8 percent on last year.
