Harwich dockers set to strike

Issue No. 2212

Dockers and support staff at Harwich International Port were set to strike for 24 hours from 6pm on Thursday of this week over pay and conditions.

The RMT union members also plan to strike for 26 hours from 6pm on Tuesday 10 August. The action involves over 100 dockers and support staff.

Workers had a pay freeze last year, and have voted against this year’s “unacceptable” offer.
