The Home Office plans to deport Charles Atangana, a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), to Cameroon on Monday.
The NUJ is exploring every avenue to stop the deportation. Unfortunately Charles's appeal was thrown out yesterday so the legal process has come to a grinding halt.
A journalist was killed in custody in Cameroon this April.
Charles is a well-respected journalist, specialising in economics and current affairs. He has lived in Britain since 2004, when his journalistic activities forced him to flee Cameroon following harassment, detention by the regime and continuing threats against members of his family who have had to remain in Cameroon.
