Get to Birmingham on 3 October

Issue No. 2213

Everyone who wants to be part of the battle against the cuts needs to be in Birmingham at 12 noon on Sunday 3 October for the demonstration at the Tory Party conference.

Initiated by the Right to Work campaign, it is backed by the PCS, NUJ and UCU unions, as well as a host of union branches and campaign organisations.

Confirmed speakers for the demonstration now include:

The general secretary of the PCS union Mark Serwotka, John McDonnell MP, Jeremy Corbyn MP, Birmingham Respect councillor Salma Yaqoob and Linda Burnip, campaign coordinator of the Local Housing Allowance Reform Group.

Other backers of the march include Katy Clark MP—who is one of the new signatories on a statement supporting the protest.
