Mass murderer Tony Blair is to donate the ill-gotten gains from his memoirs to a health centre for injured soldiers. But this attempt to launder his blood money won’t wash.
The earnings from the book will be just a tiny fraction of the £45 million he’s made since stepping down as prime minister. His decisions led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands in the Iraq and Afghan wars.
And his “generosity” is not as magnanimous as it may seem, as he could get back half of his £4.6 million donation in the form of tax relief.
The Blairs now own six mansions, each worth millions.
And Blair regularly grabs £100,000 for making half-hour speeches to pro-US think-tanks, hedge funds and others.
We should take all his cash off him and hand it to the Iraqis.
