Lobby of Bolton council over cuts

Bolton Unison union called a lobby of the council for Wednesday of this week over plans to make £15 million worth of cuts.

The council is getting rid of 68 jobs in the highways department, 17 in regulatory services and 25 in the libraries section.

Unison asked people to “bring whistles, football rattles and anything that makes a noise”.

Lobby: 6.30pm, Wednesday, 1 September, north and south entrances to Bolton Town Hall, Victoria Square. Bolton, BL1 1RU.
