Council workers in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, will take to the streets this Saturday to protest against massive council cuts.
Delegates from Doncaster, Leeds and Calderdale are coming to back the Unison union members who face the threat of 1,500 job losses.
The workers’ resistance is having an effect.
Bosses have been forced to back off over changes to workers’ conditions and have offered talks.
But the fight against the cuts, including the job losses, is far from over.
That’s why the protest this Saturday 11 September is so important.
Demonstrate 12.30pm, Saturday 11 September, St George’s Square, Huddersfield.
Send messages of support to Kirklees Unison, 20 Queen Street, Huddersfield, HD1 2SP.
