Walthamstow against cuts

Issue No. 2218

Trade unions and community groups are set to hold a rally in Walthamstow, north east London, on Saturday.

Dave Knight, president of the Waltham Forest Trades Council, said, “The impact of the Tory cuts proposals will hit the low paid and the poor. But the banks and the wealthy—who are responsible for the economic crisis—get away with it.

“If we are to save our services then we will need to fight for them starting with this protest.”

Rally at Walthamstow Market, E17 from 10am to 1pm on Saturday 11 September
