Socialist Worker

Issue No. 2219

This film deals brilliantly with institutionalised racism and the police—shown through the arrest of a young black man on the night Margaret Thatcher became prime minister.

It is based on a horrific true story.

There will be a special screening at the Ritzy cinema in Brixton on Sunday 19 September.

This will be followed by a Q&A, which includes Mavis Best from the Scrap SUS campaign, Marcia Rigg‑Samuel, founder of Sean Rigg Justice and Change Campaign and Michael Groce (tbc) whose mother was shot by police in 1985 leading to the Brixton riot.

Directed by Robert Heath
DVD out now £8.99
