CIVIL SERVANTS at the Department for Work and Pensions were set to ballot over their latest pay offer. The ballot was set to start on 31 October. We need to throw all our efforts into getting as big a vote as possible for rejection. There are three key arguments. Management have reneged on their agreement over progression of admin grades.

Secondly, for some workers the offer is lower than inflation. Finally, the proposal for performance pay linked to attendance is discriminatory.
