This book speaks of a generation abandoned by governments, feeling the brunt of low wages and high prices—and getting into debt if they manage to get to university.

It is an angry polemic against the hypocrisy of the government.

Our rulers, in this government and the last, nailed the coffin shut on free education—after enjoying it themselves.

The book channels its anger against the superficial view that a generation of iPhone users have never had it so good.

But a look at the facts shows a dramatic decrease in the ability of young people to buy houses or get a stable “job for life”.

It’s a lively read, but missing a chapter on what people can do to put things right.
