Lobby against job cuts in Islington

by Ken Muller, assistant secretary, Islington NUT
Issue No. 2222

Bosses at “Cambridge Education @ Islington” in north London sent redundancy notices to 30 central services workers last week.

Some 41 teaching and support staff are to be sacked.

Islington NUT union branch is committed to doing everything it can to protect our colleagues.

We are consulting members about taking industrial action.

Alongside other unions and campaign groups, we have called a lobby of the next full council meeting from 7pm on Thursday of this week outside the town hall.
