CLR James library victory

There were celebrations last week after Hackney council agreed to leave the CLR James Library in east London with its original name.

Councillors had wanted to change the name to Dalston Library and Archives.

But after a campaign the council has backed down—and the library will remain named after the late, great Trinidadian Marxist historian CLR James.
