  • Bath: Bath Against the Cuts, assemble outside the Abbey, 5pm
  • Birmingham: Assemble Council House, Victoria Square, 4.30pm followed by march to protest at Government office of the West Midlands, 5 St Phillips place off Colmore Row
  • Bolton: march from Folcon view day centre on Cotton Street BL1 3JN, 10.30am, to Town Hall Square for protest against cuts. Public meeting, 6pm, 16 Wood Street BL1 1DY.

  • London: Defend the welfare state—no to a billion cuts,
    assemble Lincoln’s Inn Fields WC2 from 4.30pm, march Whitehall (opposite Downing Street) for a rally
  • Luton: Rally on town hall steps, 6pm
  • Manchester: mass leafleting against cuts, Piccadilly, 5.30pm
  • Oxford: protest Bond Square, 5.30pm

  • Scotland wide STUC protest in Edinburgh: There is a Better Way march and rally.
