The fight is on to stop Tory cuts

Issue No. 2225

Anger at the Tories’ vicious assault on our services and jobs erupted onto the streets last Saturday as tens of thousands protested across the country—from Edinburgh to Bristol.

In London, militant firefighters’ picket lines rocked bosses’ attempts to bully them into accepting worse contracts by starting the process of

sacking them all.

Together they show the mood of anger that is growing.

We need to build on that mood—and follow the example of workers and students in France to beat the Tories.
