The London firefighters are at the forefront of the battle against Tory cuts. They are fighting to maintain a public service, defend safety and protect workers' rights.
The Tories and the right wing media have launched a bitter vilification of the firefighters. It is therefore very important that as many people as possible join picket lines tomorrow (Monday).
The FBU has made it clear there will be a picket line at every fire station at 10am, when the strike begins.
But at some stations there will be solidarity pickets from 9am. These include Euston, Westminster, Homerton, Southgate, Holloway, Lewisham, Old Kent Road, Sidcup, Croydon, Tooting, Plumstead, Hammersmith, Hendon, Heston, Hillingdon, North Kensington, Willesden, Southall, Wembley, Dagenham, East Ham, Stratford, Walthamstow and Enfield.
The pickets at the solidarity stations above are expected to continue until 6pm.
Everyone can visit a station and bring a collection. Banners and delegations from other unions, anti-cuts groups, student unions, and Right to Work groups would be a boost to the FBU.
This is a crucial battle.
