Women asylum seekers speak out

This unique play is the powerful true story of Lydia Besong.

Lydia, and her partner Bernard, are in the process of appealing against the UK Border Agency’s decision to deport them back to Cameroon. The play is timely, as their hearing is on 8 December.

The play is followed by a discussion, and also includes some new material based on Lydia’s experiences when she was detained at Yarl’s Wood detention centre in December 2009.

The play has been performed in Manchester, Liverpool and Salford and is available on DVD.
