Women at risk because of cuts

Despite government spin that unemployment is down, figures released this week show that unemployment among women is rising. More than a million are now unemployed.

People in part-time work (mainly women) and self-employment also rose, but the majority of people in part-time work want full-time jobs.

Women make up the majority of workers in health, education and social work—all heavily targeted by Tory cuts.
